intern at pwc - fs quest

assalaammualaikum.
i guees i have to do a post on intern at pwc.
insyaAllah i will try my best to do it later on. not now.
but here are some quest that were asked dkt formspring yg i answered.
so hopefully, you have the general idea.

1. First day the whole day you will be with hezreena.. Ada talk.. Visit pwc.. Brief psal apa yg kite akn wat.. Cmne nk claim etc.. So bwk doc2 yg die suh bwk and pen jee.. :)
2. Dorg bahagi kn based on department. Assurnce, tax etc. from that dorg akn bahagi lagi based on industry. Like mine dulu was CIPS - consumer industrial prodct n srvices..
Tuk pmbahagian keje dia akn bagi based on manager. So u hve to call the mnger kna jumpa kt mana etc.. Slalu klau asrnce akn kerja dkt tmpt client. Like me dulu sempat audit 2 cmpany je. Diff people dpt diff client.. If u lcky, dpt byk audit diff client bgusla. :)
3. Kasut flat boleh jee.. Tkde masalah.. klau nk formal, pakai yg kasut brtutup yg tnggi skit tu. Ksut kerja. Tpi I think flat pn boleh. :) casual je..
4. For me balik kerja 5.30.. Dpends on mnger and senior. Ada kwn balik malam jgk..
If you masuk bulan 1, 2 ni.. Agak peak hour. So you might be asked to stay late. But u can claim. Usually pwc bgi u kuar 5.30.. :)  

o mcm tu ke..i dpt assurance dept..btw i'm not uitm student..=) .i'm from uia..owh elaun naek ke..?wahh..u dlu brape elaun? 800 ek?..about staying at the client's office, do u mean kte ade bilik utk at kje kat situ or pegi kejap2 je.ofis kat kl sntral kn 
ooh assurance. so you gonna be at client place la. what i mean is, u and your team member will have their own place to stay dekat client's office. selalunye u akan kat situ the whole of your internship. jarang jugak u akan balik ofis pwc tu (yeap at kl sentral).
i heard la, elaun naik to 1000. hopefully its true hehe

o ok.thax 4 the info.btw ur hometown kat mne ek? actually i baru dpt offer buat intern kat pwc. so thats y byk tnye..hehee. u sewa rumah ke? kalo u,sewa katne ek?can u share..;)
oh really? no wonder la =D feel free to ask anything you want. happy to share my experience with you. i guess you are a uitm student too?
i live dekat pantai dalam = my own house bukan sewa. it's near to pwc office. (using lrt la)
however if you doing assurance, mostly you will be at the clients' office which can be anywhere around kl and selangor.
and dont worry, you can claim for your travelling expenses. and i heard that the allowance for intern increases. so good news for you la.
and january - march is peak hour. so memang busy busy busy! thats what i heard.

improve eng? do u mean speak eng all the time? lagi 1 do u think we need to revise somethg be4 going for practical there? or buat kje yg sng2 je.? n 1 more psl clothes..is it really a matter?or pkai bju kurung je ok dah.?sori byk tny. just curious.thx
if you specifically asking about big 4 mcm pwc.. then here are the answers,

its up to you la whether to speak eng all the time or not. and dpeends on your team members. usually what i did was mix. sometimes eng sometimes malay. and kdg2 bila approach client, you have to speak in eng. if melayu, then you can talk in malay. up to you really.

if for big 4, for me hermm.. depends kot? like myself, i didn't really revise anything.. cause mostly what i did was admin work. and senior teach you how to do the work.. so takdela perlu revise apa sangat. and keja pun takdela susah sgt. tak perah otak sgt pun

and at pwc, you have 3 days training, die train you on the audit work. fun la jugak. cause you learn mcmana dorg wat keje in general.

clothing i think okay je. baju kurung, blouse and seluar. pun okay. skirt pendek pun boleh (hahahaaha).. casual je

however, if you asking about small or medium fiirm.. then that one im not sure la. about speaking and clothing. but i think generally mesti sama jugak.
cuma tuk wat revision tu, maybe you have to revise kot.
sebab kalau small or medium firm. usually you have to do everything. from a to z. your manager will give you one company, and you have to do it by yourself. audit. tax. account.. mostly audit la. (if you in the audit firm)

sometims dkt pwc or any big 4, whether or not you learn a lot. usually it depends on your senior/manager and team mates. if they trust you enough, maybe you need to do something big. if not, maybe die just bagi you buat keje yang simple simple.. cause client dorang besar. so susah jugak dorg nak ajar you from a to z..
so thats why usually you buat kerja yang simple je.
=)

seriously in my opinion, if you want to learn a lot. want to apply what you have learn dekat uni. go to small or medium firm.
if you want to see how big 4 work. then go to big 4. but dont expect you can learn from a to z. thats all

best tak intern kat pwc?
this is a general question actually.
sebenarnya my expectation tinggi, but then turns out tak sama dengan what i expect.. so a bit down jugak la
if you want to learn from A to Z, surely big 4 is not the best place for you.
cause most big 4 die specific and dont let you do a lot of stuff to handle la because they need to keep their standard.. so mostly you just helping your senior jee..
on the good side, you can improve your english and meet different people and see clients' place. and see how the big 4 punye working style and orang nye
